Regardless of political beliefs, I wholeheartedly believe and will continue to fight for any conservation efforts aimed at preserving the balance of our planet's ecosystems and nurturing the diverse forms of life that inhabit it.

The beginning of 2025 has been marked with uncertainty as many existing government agencies and policies have come under scrutiny or been completely gutted. It has been a rollercoaster and to get to the point without being too political, I am sharing a call to action to help support oppose efforts to cut the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the Endangered Species Act (ESA).

"Congress enacted the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) in 1969, as an ambitious and visionary national policy to promote environmental protection for present and future generations. NEPA seeks to encourage productive and enjoyable harmony between humans and the environment, recognizing the profound impact of human activity and the critical importance of restoring and maintaining environmental quality to the overall welfare of humankind."
To sum this up a bit, NEPA is this country's charter for environmental protection. It ensures that there is public input and requires federal agencies to assess the environmental impact for projects such as logging, powerplants, highways and oil and gas development. It's a big deal and does not deserve to head to the chopping block.
The Endangered Species Act, enacted in 1973, has been on the most successful conservation initiatives by saving 99% of listed species from extinction. The biodiversity that these plants, fish and wildlife provide should not be understated. Our ecosystems are such a delicate balance, and we have a responsibility to protect and attempt to reverse some of the negligence that affect these creatures.
This honestly seems like such a no brainer to me. I'm not here for hate, not here for a political battle. Just a message that if you have the time, we owe this world protection, love and preservation.
